सऊदी अरब में Indian Schools में Admission — Complete Guide (हिंदी)

Indian Expats के बच्चों के लिए सऊदी अरब में स्कूल एडमिशन — हिंदी में गाइड।

सबसे ज़रूरी बात — Timing

सऊदी अरब में Indian schools का academic year April से March होता है। यानी April में school शुरू होती है।

कब apply करना चाहिए:

January-February में admission forms fill करें
March तक大多数 popular schools भर जाती हैं
April-May में पहुंचे और admission मांगा — तो waiting list में हो सकते हो

यह बहुत important है: अगर आपका company April-May में transfer कर रहा है, तो school placement के बारे में HR से बहुत पहले बात करें — India से निकलने से पहले।

India से आने से पहले क्या करें

सऊदी अरब आने से पहले India में ही सारे documents prepare कर लें — यहाँ attestation बहुत मुश्किल और slow है।

ज़रूरी documents:

Transfer Certificate (TC) — सबसे important document। school से लें, फिर attest करवाएं:
- School principal से
- Block/District Education Office से
- State Education Department से
- Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) से
- Saudi Embassy/Consulate in India से
- यह पूरी process 2-3 weeks लेती है — पहले शुरू करें
Report Cards — पिछले 2-3 साल के, original
Birth Certificate — original, attested copy OK
Passport-size photos — 8-10, recent, white background
Medical fitness certificate — doctor का

Admission कैसे होता है

Step 1: School identify करें — 2-3 schools में apply करें (sirf एक में नहीं) Step 2: Admission form submit करें + required documents + registration fee (100-300 SAR) Step 3: Assessment — LKG/UKG में simple interaction, Grade 1+ में basic written test Step 4: Admission offer मिला → confirm करें + fee pay करें Step 5: Uniform + books — school या nearby shop से Step 6: First day

School Types — क्या options हैं

Embassy-run community schools (सबसे सस्ते):

IIS Riyadh, IIS Jeddah, IIS Dammam, IIS Jubail
Fee: 3,000-6,000 SAR/year — बहुत affordable
Seats जल्दी भर जाती हैं — खासकर lower grades
Academic standard बहुत अच्छा — CBSE board results strong

Private Indian schools (ज़्यादा fees, flexible):

Yara, Al Alia, Al Yasmin, DPS, Dunes
Fee: 4,000-24,000 SAR/year
Facilities बेहतर, class sizes छोटी
Admission ज़्यादा flexible — mid-year भी admission possible

कौन से city में क्या है

Riyadh: सबसे ज़्यादा schools — IIS Riyadh, IIPSR, Yara, Al Alia, Al Yasmin, DPS। Competition high है।

Jeddah: IIS Jeddah (1969 में शुरू हुई — Saudi Arabia में सबसे पुरानी Indian school), Al Falah DPS। Jeddah में mid-year admission Riyadh से easy है।

Dammam/AlKhobar/Dhahran: IIS Dammam (15,000+ students — MENA region की सबसे बड़ी school), IIS Jubail। Eastern Province में सबसे ज़्यादा seats available।

छोटे cities (Taif, Buraidah, Tabuk, Yanbu, Al Ahsa): School कम हैं। Local Indian community से पूछें — WhatsApp groups fastest way है।

Waiting List — Reality

Popular schools में waiting lists months की होती हैं।

क्या करें:

2-3 schools में simultaneously apply करें
School से पूछें: “मेरे child से पहले कितने children waiting में हैं?”
Har 2-3 weeks में follow up करें
Private schools consider करें अगर waiting太长 है

एक real story: एक family ने IIS Riyadh में February में apply किया — 47 children waiting थीं। Yara से admission मिला, उन्होंने वहीं ले लिया। June में IIS Riyadh ने भी call किया — लेकिन बच्चा पहले से Yara में settle हो गया था।

Mid-Year Transfer — सच्चाई

अगर आप academic year के बीच में transfer हो रहे हो (September-March):

Challenges:

Main admission window April में खत्म हो चुका
Many schools full हो जाती हैं mid-year तक

जो काम करता है:

IIS Dammam — size की वजह से mid-year भी space मिलती है
Private schools — embassy-run से ज़्यादा flexible
School को call करें पहले — arrival से पहले situation बताएं

TC attestation: India से आने से पहले ही complete कर लें — Saudi में attestation slow और महंगा है।

School कैसे evaluate करें (visit पर)

जब school visit करो, देखो:

Children: क्या वो happy और engaged दिख रहे हैं?
Teacher turnover: पुछो: “Teachers यहाँ कितने साल से हैं?” High turnover bad sign है
New student support: नए students को कैसे handle करते हैं?
Parent communication: Regular updates मिलती हैं? Portal/WhatsApp?
Arabic instruction: Arabic कब से शुरू होती है? कैसे पढ़ाते हैं?
Cultural events: Diwali, Onam, Eid — celebrate करते हैं?

CBSE यहाँ क्या पढ़ते हैं

सभी Indian schools Saudi Arabia में CBSE curriculum follow करती हैं — वही syllabus जो India में CBSE schools में पढ़ते हैं।

Grade 10 और 12 में CBSE board exams same time पर होते हैं जब India में होते हैं
India के universities में ये qualifications accepted हैं — NEET, JEE सहित
Saudi से India वापस गए बच्चे easily grade में join कर सकते हैं

Saudi में फर्क:

Arabic mandatory subject होता है (Grade 1-2 से)
Islamic Studies option होता है Muslim students के लिए

Emotional Side — बच्चे का adjustment

School change = stress। यह normal है।

Expect करें:

पहले हफ्ते fatigue, behavioral changes
Language barrier (भले ही instruction English में हो, social environment Arabic + other languages)
India की दोस्तों और teachers को miss करना — normal है

Video calls — grandparents, purane friends, cousins से
पहले term के बाद ही evaluate करो — तुरंत school change न करो
