As part of the efforts of the Kingdom to deal with the effects of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Saudi Arabia announced Free Extension of Iqamah, Exit Re-Entry Visas, Visit Visas in Saudi Arabia until 31 January 2022 automatically without fees or financial compensation in the countries from which entry has been suspended.
As of November 2021, Countries facing travel ban to Saudi includes
Afghanistan, Botswana, Brazil, Egypt, Eswatini, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Lesotho, Lebanon, Mozambique, Namibia, Pakistan, South Africa, Turkey, Vietnam and Zimbabwe

Jawazat confirmed that the extension will be done automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center without the need to review the headquarters of the Passports Department, as follows:
- First: Extending the validity of residency permits and exit and return visas for residents outside the Kingdom in the countries from which entry is suspended due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus in them, until 31/01/2022 AD.
- Second: Extending the validity of visitor visas for visitors who are outside the Kingdom from countries from which entry is suspended due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, to be until 31/01/2022 AD
Therefore there is no intervention required by you to extend your Iqamah and it will be renewed automatically from the system.
