Oman and Saudi Arabia have launched a landmark new bus service connecting the capitals Muscat and Riyadh. This first international Muscat to Riyadh bus route traverses the vast Empty Quarter desert via a newly constructed highway linking the two countries.

The epic 18-20 hour Riyadh to Muscat bus journey will have stops in Oman at Ruwi, Nizwa and Ibri before crossing into Saudi Arabia. In Saudi, buses will stop in Dammam before reaching the final destination of Riyadh.
