Driving License can now be accessed Digitally

The General Department of Traffic has launched an electronic version of the driving license through the Ministry of Interior’s online application “Absher Individuals” and the “Tawakkalna” applications.

The electronic driving license includes a QR Code, affirming that the drivers can keep a copy of it on the smartphones and use it without the need for an internet connection.

Recently, The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) launched the digital version of Muqeem ID to be available on the Ministry of Interior’s new electronic application “Absher Individuals” under the name of “Muqeem Digital ID” or Resident Digital ID.

The ministry’s Absher service was introduced to increase productivity and promote more efficient work practices within government departments, while at the same time raising customer satisfaction levels.
